George Allred Appointed as the New PCA Boxster Register Advocate

George has been a dedicated member of the Boxster Register since February 2015, as well as a PCA member since then. He drives a striking Guards Red 2022 718 GTS 4.0. Notably, George chaired the first-ever Boxster Register event subsidized by PCA, acting on my behalf. The event was a great success. Over the past several weeks, George has been in training and is eager to step into his new role, continuing our cherished motto “Have fun, learn and make lasting friendships.”

I have had the privilege of serving as the Advocate since February 2015, and I want to extend my sincere thanks to all the Register Coordinators who provided their support and guidance over the years.

I would also like to acknowledge four incredibly special individuals whose advice and help were instrumental in achieving my goals as the Boxster Register Advocate. First, Bob Purgason, who sadly passed away this year. Bob offered endless inspiration and had a unique, colorful way of making his point clear to everyone. Next is Miles Beach, a trusted confidant I could always rely on for guidance and support whenever I needed it. Then there’s Mike Sousa, whose solid advice helped me achieve my goals. Mike is also the creator of the eBulletin software that we still use today.

That is three people who shaped my journey as the Boxster Register Advocate. Now, you might be wondering about the fourth person. That is an easy one—it's my wife, Rose Ann. Only she knows how many times I had to step away from my personal life to assist a member or make an important announcement or to get in touch with our IT folks. She understood the importance of the work we were doing—myself, Miles, Mike, and Bob—and always supported me through it all. Thank you, Rose Ann, and Thank you to Bob, Miles and Mike.

And to all the BR members, it has been an absolute pleasure to serve as your Advocate.
